|Pepper Tree Estate
Peppers Convent in the Hunter Valley is a luxurious boutique Hotel and conference venue, well suited to executive meetings and management retreats. The buildings have been lovingly restored to reflect the charming heritage and character and provide a real opportunity for escape. There are, of course, countless wineries and gourmet food trails that crisscross the region but there are also many others options for your delegates’ free time or for team building activities. These include tennis courts on site, exploring the estate by bicycle or bushwalking. There are also more traditional leisure facilities at Peppers Convent such as the outdoor pool, hot tub, day spa, guest lounge and bar.
This 1909 convent was originally home to the Brigidine Order of Nuns and was transported the 600km east from Coonamble to Pokolbin in 1990 where its deep verandas and French doors now offer wonderful views of the grounds and the surrounding vineyards. The 1878 Pepper Tree Cottage is National Trust listed and houses the highly acclaimed and lauded Roberts Restaurant which has been described as the Hunter’s most beautiful dining room and serves world-class cuisine.
There are three conference, meeting and event spaces to choose from at Peppers Convent, all of which include 60 inch LCD TVs with laptop connections and monitors, data projectors and morning and afternoon tea as standard.
The Brigidine Room was purpose built with executive meetings in mind. It commands a peaceful and private setting to the rear of the convent, is drenched in natural light. The centrepiece is the designer boardroom table flanked by ergonomic and stylish seating for up to 20 delegates. This space is totally self sufficient with its own bathroom facilities.
The Grand Marquee is the perfect venue for banquets and dinners, entertainment, cocktail parties and product launches for up to 130 guests or delegates. The inside is brought outside here, as the space is fully carpeted with full lighting and display capabilities.
The Dining Room exudes a grand and historic ambience and is ideal as a breakout or an intimate meeting room with antique furniture and tasteful decoration.
The team at Pepper Convent can also organise a wide range of team experiences and standalone team days such as winery tours, helicopter flights, cheese tours, hot air ballooning, golf days, adrenaline fuelled activities, horse riding, mountain biking and much more.
